Animal Planet Wild Quest Rescue Elephant Patrol Team Playset
For a young explorer and adventurer, there's nothing quite like a visit to the savannas of Africa on a mission to protect and preserve wildlife. Barring that, the Animal Planet Wild Quest Rescue Elephant Patrol Team Playset might satisfy those itchy feet for a little while. Featuring a large plastic elephant (with movable trunk and swiveling seat for rider), a nifty vehicle with catching device, two rugged action figures, a cage, a net, a zebra, and tracking accessories (camera, binoculars, torchlight, water container, and video camera), the set will surely provide hours of entertainment for youngsters with daring expeditions in mind. --Emilie Coulter

Large Elephant Puppet
Few toys are more majestic than this charcoal-gray plush elephant. Bonus: this gentle giant is also a puppet. He boasts an extendable trunk, protruding horns, wrinkled eyes, and soft, floppy ears. With his velvety body and big belly, he's the perfect pachyderm for puppet shows, naptime, or cozying up with to read a book. This unforgettable elephant stands 17 inches tall from head to hoof. --Melissa Wilson

Ty Beanie Babies Trumpet the Elephant
Trumpet uses his trunk to spray
Be careful you don't get in his way
He plays in mud--he never forgets
Give him some peanuts; he'll be your pet!

Sitting on his haunches with his trunk in the air, Trumpet is a playful little pachyderm who looks like a prankster. His merry black eyes twinkle as a smile plays tug-of-war with the corners of his pink mouth--he's just waiting to laugh at life's next joke. His baby-soft velour coat is slate gray with a hint of cocoa; his ear linings and furry embroidered footpads are the color of cream. Trumpet appears to be an elephant of the African variety, with a rounded forehead and ears that tend toward the triangular. He was born on February 11, 2000. He's a mischievous-looking mite who'd be lucky to get the topmost branches off a Bonsai tree. But we're sure he won't lack for snacks, not with that perky proboscis. Keep a sharp eye on your peanut butter cookies. --Julie Ubben

Ty Beanie Buddies Righty the Elephant
If you thought all elephants were leathery, wrinkled mammals, you haven't met Righty, one of the floppiest, most huggable pachyderms around. Named for America's more conservative political party, Righty sports pink ears, a curved trunk, a soft gray washable body, and a long swingy tail. Wild elephants live only in Africa and Asia, but an American flag patch on Righty's rump proves that he is a USA-friendly toy. --Amy Nevala
